IFMA Gold & Silver Plate Awards is the foodservice industry’s most iconic celebration. Join the 71st annual celebration to honor the winners of the IFMA Silver Plate Awards for extraordinary operator achievements and industry excellence.

The 71st Annual IFMA Gold & Silver Plate Awards Celebration will take place on Saturday night, May 17, 2025 at the historic Chicago Union Station.

The Awards Celebration is open to the industry and will bring together past Gold and Silver Plate winners and esteemed individuals from across foodservice to honor and celebrate the 2025 IFMA Silver Plate class. The winner of the industry's most prestigious award will be revealed from among the 2024 recipients—the coveted IFMA Gold Plate.

About Event:

For 70 years the IFMA Gold & Silver Plate Awards have been the industry’s most iconic foodservice celebration. This historic annual event is where distinguished industry peers mix, mingle and lavish praise on the most notable operator achievements.

Who Attends:

  • Leaders from every operator segment, manufacturers and industry partners
  • Industry legends, including members of the Gold & Silver Plate Society

Awards Criteria

The Silver Plate Awards recognize professionals who have demonstrated foodservice industry segment leadership and noteworthy achievement and have made lasting contributions to the advancement of the industry. Silver Plate nominees should:

  • Have spent at least two years in foodservice operations management within the nominated segment
  • Have hands-on experience and knowledge that is well founded within the foodservice industry
  • Show a commitment to foodservice as a lifetime career
  • Maintain the highest standards of ethical and moral behavior
  • Demonstrate outstanding leadership and innovation in such areas as financial & operational management, human resource programs and menu/concept execution
  • Demonstrate strong support of association and industry-related activities in order to promote, protect and enhance the industry and its image
  • Demonstrate a sense of civic pride through voluntary involvement in societal activities
