“To give qualified culinary, marketing, sales, supply chain, and food science students financial support toward completion of education requirements through accredited institutions, enabling career-oriented internships and employment opportunities within IFMA member companies and through the food industry.”
We provide significant scholarship funding to students in the areas of hospitality, marketing, sales, supply chain, and food science. The Education Foundation partners with some of the nation's leading colleges and universities to award $5,000 scholarships and $1,000 internship stipends to a variety of students each year.
Among schools we support, are:
- Culinary Institute of America
- Cornell University
- Georgia State University
- Florida International University
- Kansas State University
- Michigan State University
- Northern Arizona University
- Penn State University
- Purdue University
- Texas A&M
- University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
The Education Foundation hosts an annual Education Summit in conjunction with the Gold & Silver Plate Awards weekend each May. Additional activities are under development – including building pathways to engage students directly with our food manufacturer members.
Our commitment is to ensure the next generation of food professionals receives support and encouragement to make the food industry a lifelong career choice.
