IFMA Foodservice Fundamentals™

The industry’s premier training on the basics of foodservice.

 

This in-depth course is designed for those new to the industry or anyone needing a refresher on how food moves from manufacturers to operators in the United States.

 

During the training, registrants learn how foodservice works, hear operator perspectives, and ensure engagement and understanding by passing knowledge retention assessments along the way.

The course curriculum includes:

 

  • A deep dive into foodservice definitions and structure 
  • Basics on the foodservice value chain 
  • A focus on restaurant segments 
  • An overview of retail foodservice and on-site categories 

 

At the end of the course, each attendee will receive a personal certificate of completion.

In-Person

Several times a year, Fundamentals is offered in a face-to-face classroom setting. It’s a full day, with lunch, giving attendees the opportunity to ask their questions and hear feedback from peers as well. The next in-person class is Nov. 12.
