Dear Fellow IFMA Members:
As Chair of the Board of Directors of IFMA in 2021, it has been my pleasure and honor to serve our
membership and the foodservice industry over the past year. It has been a difficult time for
our country and our industry, but through it all, our membership has remained resilient as an
organization and IFMA has provided even more value in our time of need.
Through your support and collaboration, IFMA now provides an unprecedented ROI of services, valued at
$462,200 in benefits for all Members. IFMA has made significant investments in insights, research,
tools, best practices, and member-only events this year to ensure you are benefiting from this
investment. I’m proud of the many accomplishments we achieved this year, including:
-
Virtual Conferences
–
Record attendance at COEX and Marketing & Sales, driven by superior content unequaled in the
industry.
-
Webinars
– IFMA has hosted more than 35 webinars this year, providing us with insights from operators across
segments, go-to-market best practices, menu trends, and much more.
-
The Consumer Food Journey®
– An end-to-end understanding of how consumers make their food and beverage choices, including new
research on purchase behavior post covid.
In addition to these programs, IFMA continues to keep our members top of mind while bringing us closer
with our customers. The relationships IFMA has made with the five Foodservice Leadership
Councils within the K-12, College & University, Business & Industry, Healthcare,
and Small/Midsized Chain communities have provided us with real-time insights and critical customer
connections. We look forward to strengthening our partnership with these councils in the years to come.
Your IFMA is stronger than ever, and it’s because of the strong participation and engagement from our
membership. We truly are a member-driven organization reflecting what you—the foodservice
manufacturer and foodservice professional—needs to succeed in today’s competitive marketplace.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve you. If you would like additional detail, please feel free
to reach out to me or Larry Oberkfell, President/CEO of IFMA. I greatly look forward to being together
at Presidents Conference in November
in Scottsdale to celebrate the rebound of our industry and businesses.
